Born in San Francisco, raised in the Bay Area, Rona’s creative force boomed in New York City when she landed the lead in the Broadway production of Miss Saigon. She has worked as an actress and singer ever since.

Over the years, she dove into screenwriting, poetry, photography, painting, drawing, kung fu, yoga, meditation... At one point she ran three blogs simultaneously, covering topics on fasting, subway personalities, and a poetic dialogue with the Aegean Sea.

Most recently she earned an MFA in Writing from Columbia University, where she won a Teaching Fellowship (teaching resume available upon request) Currently she is at work on her first novel, which is in verse. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts.

Through her multi-disciplinary pursuits, her work seeks to mix and savor the flavors of high def and lo-fi, the sophisticate and the quotidian, the sublime and solid ground, staying playful as much as life allows.
